  • This program is designed for nurses interested in transitioning into academia or new nursing faculty seeking to develop teaching skills, curriculum design expertise, and student engagement strategies for classroom and clinical instruction.

  • No, this program does not serve as preparation for the CNE certification. It provides foundational knowledge and skills in nursing education but does not replace formal certification or degree programs.

  • The program covers teaching and learning strategies, curriculum development, student assessment and evaluation, technology integration, faculty roles and expectations, professionalism, and academic career advancement.

  • The program includes in-person immersion sessions, interactive workshops, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on learning experiences. The three-day immersion will be located in Chicago proper. The subsequent weeks are a combination of virtual and asynchronous weekly modules.

  • Yes, participants who complete the program will receive CEU’s upon completion of the ANIEA Faculty Development Certificate. CEU’s are still being determined. This program is not a formal academic credential.

This program does not replace a formal nursing degree program, such as a Master’s Degree in Nursing Education, nor does it serve as preparation for the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) exam. Completion of this program does not grant eligibility or admission into a nursing degree program or any professional credentialing process.

Instead, this program provides participants with foundational knowledge and best practices in academic nursing to support a successful transition into nursing education.
